Having a solid and robust product launch strategy will enable you to be very successful and have a stream of income coming in when you launch any product online or through your Internet Marketing activity.

There are a whole host of things to think about when launching a product online, but if you undertand these 2 principles, you will be well on your way.

1 – Your visitors must trust you to buy from you.

The best way to get customers to trust you is to seriously think about how you can give them value and show your credibility for being the expert in your field. Normally, free content in the form of blogs (similar to this one), emails about your product (not sales ones, but real valuable information), video’s, podcasts… you choose how, but essentially anything where people can build a relationship with you over time and learn to trust what you have to say.

2 – Then get some BUZZ!

Once people like you, trust you, see you as an authority and know that you have real credibility, the excitement and buzz you need around your product will come from your subscribers. Asking them to tweet about it, blog about it, tell their friends and even offering some kind of reward for telling them goes down well. Your ultimate aim is to get real buzz and to build up the excitement in your industry or niche so when your product is at last available, everybody wants to buy it. If you plan your product launch strategy well you should see a large inflow of orders on the product launch day. The crucial point is to have targeted visitors who will sign on your mailing list, it can be done by SEO or via PPC advertising.

Simple Product Launch Strategy

It is not difficult to draw up an effective product launch plan. I have talked about using a process of giving information, building trust and credibility, then selling. You will however need some tools to use for your product launch system. This is where the difficulty lies for most, but again, it doesn’t have to be.

In the two steps above I talked about getting content to your subscribers and those that you want to engage with. To do this you will need a website (many call this a sales or squeeze page), an autoresponder such as MailchimpAweber or the one available from HodgesNet, great content of value and maybe some free products that you can offer for your visitors as a bonus (not essential, but a nice to have).

If you don’t have a website at the moment and you are stuck on getting the right sales page up together, take a look at Optimize Press - It is an all-in-one solution to run any product launch, landing page or squeeze page.

Here is an example of how you could use this stepped approach in a product launch:

As you can see this process is using an email autoresponder system, landing pages with video (video is a whole other subject) and it all follows when someone enters their details in the squeeze page.

Remember – Offer some really valuable and useful information (and/or a free product) that will entice your visitors to get excited about what you have to share with them, then by the end of the process (if you do it well), you can generate a lot of orders. You can complicate things even more – but I think this is such an easy way to get started, you ought to have a go.
