Mobile technology and social media

Since my post yesterday I have had some messages via email, text (SMS), Twitter and Facebook, telling me that I am some for of work-a- holic! To a degree I would agree, but yesterdays post was shows the way mobile technology enables people to blog, tweet, engage and show that they are real people, even when they are not in the norm or 8-6 Mon-Fri business life.

So how do I do it… And include a voice recording and styled picture… Without my laptop?

The way that I have my blog set up enables me to email it to update it. When updated this sends out a message on Twitter, Facebook and the RSS subscribers who choose to want to read it. houston divorce attorney .

As I have an iPhone that enables me to email anywhere I can get a signal, I can update my blog and hence engage in social media.

The other great thing is that as shown yesterday, I can talk quicker than I can type. I recorded a voice memo from the phone and sent it to the blog by email. furniture removal . It converts it to a web playable file and took about 5mins max to publish.

Today this post is longer as I am typing, but look at the photo above. I can even take a snap from my phone, use a great Photoshop app to edit it, crop it, give it a border and include in the email.

Mobile technology helps us to still do the things we love. What do I love? Social media. Did you really think I could go a week without putting something up?

Have a think about your social media engagement strategy and think about how you can use mobile technology to engage on the move. You could be at a conference, on holiday, visiting a client… It keeps you real if your not just flying your desk blogging and tweeting!
